Founded in 2008 by new starter and long distance runner Adam Smith, the Woolmer Green Running Club is made up of a close knit group of colleagues from local shoe retailer fitness footwear. We sell some of the finest running shoes (or running trainers) available, so we thought that we would put our products through their paces and hopefully get fit in the process!

As a group of friends who have got together for the enjoyment of running, we are not the most dedicated or athletic bunch, so activities vary from long jogs to short sprints and we even mix things up occasionally with sailing, cycling and Quasar!

Club Training Sessions

Mondays at 5pm
Interval or slow run training starting from the Woolmer Green Vet's car park. Session is suitable for new starters. Newcomers are welcome. Athletes of different abilities often pair up for alternate routes around the village.

Wednesday, after 5pm
Interval or medium run training with a little more pace. Meet outside Woolmer Green Vet's car park. Newcomers are welcome. This can get a rather competitive.

Friday, 5pm
The end of the week pub sprint, out of the office and to the Northern Star. Employees only.

Annual Club Promotions

The fixtures below are intended as an indication of events which are regularly promoted by Woolmer Green Running Club. However all good things come to an end, so please make contact with the club to establish that this event is taking place this year, and confirm the exact date.
